Hi All
I'm doing a risk assessment on a Tilt and Slide rigid lorry. It is used to delivery newly converted buses to customers. I'm finding it hard to get safety information on them, so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
Cheers

I would expect that you will have been supplied with information from the vehicle converter (if not get it) but would comment as follows.

On the basis that this is a standard flat bed conversion it will be very similar to units used in vehicle recovery. Have a look @ http://www.hse.gov.uk/mvr/roadside.htm and also try to get hold of a copy of PAS 43.

Have a look at the SIM @ http://www.hse.gov.uk/fo...ectors/manuf/3_04_61.pdf

Most important when doing any assessment is to ask those who carry out the task and also look for any accident or near miss reports.

These should start you in the right direction and I hope will assist you in your taks.

Malcolm
