Does anyone have any suitable training material on the safe use of pallet trucks? These are used extensively throughout our business and I need to get a training regime put into place. If anyone could point me in the right direction of any suitable material, I would be most grateful.

I assume you are talking about a hand pallet truck (as there is loads of stuff about FLTs etc) in which case look @ http://www.chadmh.co.uk/service.htm Also as you will be in good contact with the manufacturers via you employer ask them for literature.
Probably best to do a general risk assessment of their use/activity first to establish what the hazards are as this will effect the training you will provide. The important thing to remember is that this is primarily a many handling operation where pushing and pulling can place incredible loading on the spine.
Think about targeted manual handling training.

Thanks for that. It is specific operator training on the use of hand pallet trucks that I am after. Along the sortsof lines of checking the load, making sure the correct weight is lifted and not to exceed the lifting capacity of the pallet truck, pushing and pulling techniques etc.
