Try Oval Insurance on 0116.254.6221 or www.theovalgroup.com They used to give preferential treatment to IOSH members.

Mike have you contacted IOSH HQ. They may have some contact with insurers giving you some discount. You may also want to contact an insurance broker as they can source different insurers instead of you trying to find them.

Working in Ireland I found it difficult to get "cheap" PI insurance. I contacted a company called RBIG (Richard Bolton Insurance Group) and they gave me a very good quote.
Hoping that it is ok to give a company name on the forums??

Look at the small print, including cover, excess and whether they are giving you the necessary run on insurance.

Hi Mike
You say that you are "currently employed". Does this mean that you're looking for the PII as an employee or as a potential self-employed provider?
If as employed, the employer will be responsible; if as potentially self-employed the previous answers are all good.
PS - Oval still do business and state that they give preferential terms to IOSH members. I have been with them for approx 10 years and have found them generally competitively priced. They don't offer a "loyalty" or "no claims" discount though [yes, I did ask; 'tho maybe it's just me].
