Posted By Richie Higgins Hi All, I am new to the forum so forgive my inexperience! I am attempting to develop a COSHH Assessment template. I am aware of the COSHH-Essentials site but due to my location (Saudi Arabia) i am unable to guarantee access to the internet when needed. So its the paper exercise for me! I have a few issues with my the template, I wish to have a check list of the relevant classification of Hazardous substances to make the COSHH assessment easier to complete. I know i should include the Toxicological Hazards, but not sure about Biological Agents, Environmental and also do i include Phsico-Chemical Hazards such as explosive, oxidising, flammable etc as these fall under DSEAR - (my initial thoughts are yes as they may also cause aspyxiation etc) Or am i basically on the wrong track? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Richie

Posted By Kate Graham Although COSHH doesn't include fire hazards, it makes a lot of sense to combine the COSHH and DSEAR into a single assessment. Kate

Posted By Richie Higgins Hi again all, Well it appears that the subject of COSHH doesn't prompt as many responses as some topics - and who can blame you! I did try download a program that i was kindly directed to but was unable on our network - so if anyone out there has a template for a basic COSHH assessment i would greatly appreciate a copy, please....... Cheers, Richie
