Posted By Bob Youel Thanks for the input -- point being that other professionals only give to their peers [as I do and I give I away a lot - many a time I do not post a response I e-mail direct - ['those who-give get back']] and some people use our site to get info and act thereafter as advisers putting 'qualies' on the site is not the done thing however I felt that it was needed in this case as all the effort to get here and than we give info away try getting real info from an accountant, solicitor, architect etc for free and you will realise my point have a good week end

Posted By Andrew Longhurst I am a little puzzled as to your point - is that one should vet the forum members to see if they are IOSH members and only enter dialogue with these, or is it that advice should not be given so freely, or even freely at all? Certainly my experience of approaching any professional from outside their industry is they will charge - that's their business - but when approached informally from inside their industry, or indeed in a forum such as this where their participation is entirely voluntary, professionals are more often than not generous with both their time and expertise. I promise this is not a rant or judgement, I am truly puzzled? Wishing you a relaxing weekend AJL

Posted By Andrew Longhurst Actually, my previous does come across a little like a rant - my apologies if it is seen as so, not intended. I am just grateful for the wealth of experience, suggestions, solutions and offers of help that are so generously given. Kindest of fraternal regards to you Bob Andrew Longhurst
