Posted By Andrew Longhurst I am a little puzzled as to your point - is that one should vet the forum members to see if they are IOSH members and only enter dialogue with these, or is it that advice should not be given so freely, or even freely at all? Certainly my experience of approaching any professional from outside their industry is they will charge - that's their business - but when approached informally from inside their industry, or indeed in a forum such as this where their participation is entirely voluntary, professionals are more often than not generous with both their time and expertise.
