Posted By Philby' with reference to a previous thread...and I warn you its not a friday funny.... http://www.iosh.co.uk/in...iew&forum=1&thread=19255...it seems that despite toneing down the look, the selective fashion police are back on form...its dress down friday, (and its for Charity) I'm wearing a shirt, albeit with a log of jack skelton and the offices is full of folk wering very little with tattoos, vests, t-shirts with messages... ....you get the picture... ....one person singled out... ....believe me I'm not paranoid but now I've been informed that 'long sleeved shirts would be more appropriate' I have now had enough and am cutting my Mohican (complete with bald spot so it will be short) back in this weekend...I'll do it for charity PS: and this is a safety issue as its stress/bullying/harrassment related and whereas before, in my youth, I would have kicked back, I have almost bitten through my toungue! tormentor hasn't a tatoo...as far as I'm aware...and I wouldn't want to find out...anyhow, I just wanted to let off steam and did so and now I'm happy...its just one of those things where you can sometimes fire off an email and really regret it...this forum allowed me a channel and I took it...despite some trying to reclaim Fridays!
My health, ie blood pressure, has returned to normal

Posted By Descarte You need to get your self a blog, then you can name and shame and give away details to the whole wide world as much as you like, and often with very little recourse from your employer.
Im sure it would an interesting read, so if you do, post link here :D
Back to safety, does your company provide a service to telephone schemes so people can talk anonomously to some one regarding any issues at work?
We operate a scheme at our sites for example
"blank" provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for its employees and immediate family members at no cost to help them deal with personal problems. EAP helps families deal with problems such as: Relationship problems at home Work-related stress or conflict Drug or alcohol problems Grief and loss Aging parents or troubled teens Debtor/creditor issues Anxiety, fear or depression
Confidentiality It is the employee's decision to take advantage of this service, although your supervisor may suggest you call. Either way, all calls, appointments and meetings are held in strictest confidence. There is no cost to you for a limited number of visits; it is paid for by Clariant. If you need help beyond the scope of EAP services, you may be referred to a community resource, or to a provider or facility covered by your medical benefits.

As indicated by so many this Thread is now locked.
