i have been asked to do a risk assessment on a golf shop ata golf course .Is there any one out there who has done one before? i would appreciate a few pointers on the less obvious things to look for.

Hi,
The only difference that immediately occurs to me between a golf pro shop and an ordinary retail outlet is the presence of the golf clubs. Possibility of major injury if a customer decides to pick up one and practice their swing with other people in vicinity. Also the outcome could be a lot worse if a visitor becomes aggressive.

The risk assessment would include cash handling,security,COSHH,items stored above head height,uneven floors,free standing racks,emergency contact numbers,electrical safety,and electric buggys?

Just can't see the big attraction in sucking eggs.
We have about 340 (charity shops).
My generic risk assessment to help managers produce their own shop-specific RA is 15 pages long.
I'd add the use of tagger pricing guns to the list (puncture wounds).

I believe HSG79 is now out of print. However, it deals mainly with golf course maintenance.
