I am trying to find out for somebody doing a H&S assigment, information related to HSE prosecutions ( unfortunately the HSE prosecutions website only goes back so far and I don't have the hard copy information references any more)
I wondered if any of you know how I can find out about the very first HSE prosecution of the NHS and any details you know about it (e.g. who was prosecuted, what the fines were, what they were prosecuted for etc.).
Also the same type of information relating to Nursing Homes – The person in question is trying to do some comparison of numbers and would like the information as part of the introduction within the assigment.
Kind Regards

Can't remember the full details but one that sticks in my mind relates to a trust being prosecuted for not having any COSHH or general risk assessments in place - the fine was in the region of £4,000 plus costs. At the time it was considered ground breaking as the prosecution was brought without there having been any sort of accident or incident to trigger it. If the old brain box dredges up some more details I'll pop in another post!
