Can anybody confirm if it is a legal requirement to identify products with there weight or is this just good practice to do so? Our products range from 2kg to 45kg.

Its a legal responsibility to pass on any health and safety information regarding a product to the end user, this will include the weight of the goods/box etc if they are reasonably heavy. However, its not the HSE that would normally pick up on this, but a solicitor pursuing a claim.
