Posted By David J Here's my dilema, I have just finished my two years fulltime vocational UK higher diploma at NVQ level 5, with two years of exams & results to prove it. Now the thing is, I undertook this higher diploma in OHS & Risk Management through an Irish vocational college, & my Hdip is accredited by "The Institute of Commercial Mgt" in the UK. The course is not IOSH approved. So here is my question, should I seek IOSH membership, or that of another OHS accrediting body? I fear i'll be told I only qualify for affiliate with IOSH.

Posted By Charley Farley-Trelawney I feel certain you will be requested to send in an application, you will then find out the exact criteria. Good Luck CFT

Posted By David J Thanks Charlie, there may be hope!, Just figure IIRSM will grant me full membership, & to be honest for the financial outlay, I want to box clever. Would sending in an application to IOSH be expensive do you know?

Posted By David J Thanks for that Charley, So your saying I can send IOSH my details, they will make a Preliminary Assessment of an applicatiopn Level at no cost, & then inform me so I can make a full application, with membership fees having attained where they see fit that I should be entered on the membership level?

Posted By Charley Farley-Trelawney David I am saying copy and paste the link I gave you in an earlier post, and make contact with IOSH. I suspect you will be requested to send in your details and a decision will be made at what level of membership can be offered to you. At the top left of this page are several links, many with the sole purpose of explaining how membership works. Good luck in your quest. CFT
