Posted By Bill Morrison I have been asked to look at one of our sites who are about to start handling Glass Desferal Vials which contain purified water. These will be removed from packing and thrown away. Does anyone have any other experience of handling these products, issues we should be looking at? Many Thanks Bill

Posted By JEFFREY SMITH hmm, interesting. Look at the possibility of discharge of the purified water. Also, type of glass and how to dispose (recycle?). Type of PPE - depending on how handled, anything from gloves to goggles, boots, overalls. Also don't forget if the glass gets broken you have glass slivers to contain. Also, what happens to the packaging if the ampule is broken in that? Good luck

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Bill I'm confused; if the vials only contain purifed water, why the reference to Desferal? Paul
