Just had an enquiry from a member of staff who works in a room in reasonably close proximity to their computer server.
Obviously potential issues with temperature increases and noise.
Anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks for your help

well servers most often require air conditioning to keep them cool as they can generate heat which may also be uncomfortable or add to exististing temperature levels in the area.
Background noise from servers varies from one to another and depending on the location and level of background noise already present (say if you work close to a road or have a noisy office) this may or may not be noticable. Also depending on the level of concentration required, reading etc... may become a annoyance to the worker.
Other isssues would include emf / electric field radioation but for this to be a effect they would have to be working with 12 inches of it before I would investigate further (or unless they were complaining of any alements)
