Posted By Gary Paul Teale Hi To develop my teaching/training skills i am completing a Certificate in Education course. I have to attend summer school at the university this july, one of the things i have to do is present a seminar paper on a subject associated with my teaching. I intend to cover risk assessment and/or risk aversion in the workplace and need to use some activities for the group. I have a couple i use when delivering the CIEH and OCN one day basic health and safety courses but was looking for new material, does anyone have any suggestions. thanks in advance Gary

Posted By Helen Horton Try taking an everday activity and working out the risks and precautions you need to take. I've successfully looked at ironing and cooking a fried egg breakfast in courses I've run. I tend to make these fairly light hearted - a bit of humour can work wonders in making people feel comfortable with what can be a difficult subject to grasp. Good luck with your studies I've recently done the C&G 7302 and I'm thinking of taking it further to the 7407 as I really enjoyed the course - any advice?

Posted By Gary Paul Teale Hi Yeh i do a similar thing in mine, normally for riding a bike. I completed 730/7 a few years ago and decided to go the whole hog while i was in a position to do it. Its very time consuming (level 4)but sneaked in before the new tuition fees and got it for free (lol). thanks for reply Gary
