Posted By Ron Hunter I guess face paints would come under the Toy Safety Regulations and your local Trading Standards Department may have more information on that. Other areas of risk (you've identified the 'what') are 'who' (who will be doing the painting) 'where'(are there risks associated with the location, perhaps ensuring sufficient segregated "jostle room" for the activity; etc.
