Posted By Steve B here is a few genuine excuses on insurance claim forms. Coming home I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don’t have. I thought my window was down but found out it was up when I put my head through it. The guy was all over the road. I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him. I had been driving my car for forty years when I fell asleep at the wheel. I was on the way to the Doctors with rear end trouble when my universal joint gave way. An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my vehicle and then vanished. I was on the way home from the garden centre after buying some plants when a hedge sprang up obscuring my vision. The indirect cause of this accident was the little guy with the big mouth. I saw the slow moving, sad faced, old gentleman as he bounced off the bonnet of my car. The gentleman behind me struck me on the backside, he went to rest in the bush with just his rear end showing. As I turned the ignition key I glanced at my mother in law and headed over the embankment. My girlfriend kissed me, I lost control and woke up in the hospital. What gear were you in when the crash occurred? – response ‘Reeboks and Wranglers’. It wasn't my fault I collided with the oncoming bus. It was unusually early SB

Posted By Helen Horton I recently witnessed an accident and have had to make a statement to the police and for the injured party's solicitor. I was contacted by the solictor to clarify something in my statement, apparently I hadn't comented on the speed of the injured party's vehicle but a witness for the other party had stated that she was driving too fast. As she had been in a queue and all but stationary I said I couldn't comment on her speed or the other witness's statement! Just to put in context she was hit squarely in the driver's door by someone turning right - right into a queue of traffic!
