Posted By The toecap What type of training should be given to people who are likely to use a harness as a fall arrest system? Has anybody got a powerpoint presenation i could view? I've asked the question but was greeted with angry looks. It seems to be that it is accepted that providing the harness is enough. I know better.

Posted By DM2005 Hi, I sent one of our high level maintenance teams on a harness training and inspection course. It was with a training provider called Abtech Safety limited, they covered modules including, legislation, fall arrest and restraint requirements, selection and range of equipment available, ,maintenance and basic inspection techniques, and the use of harness and lanyards. They were all certificated and need refreshing every two years. Hope this helps, Dan
