Posted By helen law thank you for your reply i have seen that but there isnt very much on there in regards to what it will mean to certain businesses, i wanted to particually focus on how domestic properties will be affected (not privatly owned ones, council buildings and such).....

Posted By Dave Wilson The main changes which will affect this sector are 1. Any maintenance workers you use / employ will have to do Asbestos Awareness Training, 2 Textured Coating (Artex)containg asbestos will be de-licensed, this means you do not have to use a licensed contractor, however you will still have to use trained competent staff and safe systems of work for removal, Enclosures, RPE, 2 stage airlock, Type H Vacuums etc 3. You can use your own people to work on Licensed Asbestos as long as it is 'work of soporadic and low intensity' the HSE will, before the regs are in, give guidance as to what is or isn't WSLI' (is that a new TLA or FLA?)or does not go above the Action Level or Control Limit There are some other changes but they will affect the Asbestos Removal Industry email me if you want any mor info
