any contacts in TV to pitch a safety fly on the wall to?

Hi, I'm thinking of writing a treatment script for a series on Health & Safety, to pitch to TV channels, who might liken it to "Life of Grime" , but really to highlight the appalling lethargy and non-compliance of UK plc, particularly smaller SME's where most of our friends, family and children work.
Any ideas of who to pitch this to, or who might be interested in working with me on the treatment?
Has this been pitched before without interest?
This is an out of hours project by the way, not my day job!
All the best!
Chris

Chris,
Being a cynical old s*d
They would use it to Micky (not my prefered word) take of our activities.
The bad stuff you mean would never get aired once the legals considered slander and what have you.
Consider what happens when they film yobs now - the little loves have their identities masked

Great idea but;
The subject does not make good 'telly' - no muck to shift nor characters to meet or front line workers to go 'on-site' with -
Note the EHO's etc that have been covered do not include any H&S nor similar people - only those who have 'watchable' telly roles as the H&S person would not allow the 'gully' workers etc to work as they do in many cases i.e. put bare hands down drains without first checking them properly for needles etc and washing them properly thereafter - dirty hands sells - clean hands dont!
I have tried this [I was in marketing & sales so I know what I am doing re presenting a case] as I am connected to people in 'telly'land and I am currently looking after one production [small area only] that is on our screens as I type - We could not get one situation that was sellable other than as a guide
Keep trying and I hope you succeed

A colleague recently suggested a H&S version of CSI to help sex up H&S.
Imagine the scene, there's a major accident involving major carnage, an investigation by some really cool A-list Hollywood actor investigators and a plot with lots of cover-ups, twists and drama in peoples' personal lives affecting their decisions at work that lead to the catastrophic events.

You have just summed up the current scenario in Emmerdale! Just wonder how far the 'HSE' will get with this possible corporate manslaughter case. I know its only soap, but it shows carnage, death, investigations and how it all fits in with the characters' lives

Sorry no contacts, but the idea is a "Cracker"! Behavioural Psycology - The human X factors, PPE Idle, Big Bother, the weakest link uncovered (Expose on bullying in the workplace)
I am expecting that this item has gone before but what about the makers of televisual advertisements, you know the ones where you have the average joe in his back garden painting his fence, laughing his head off because he is high from the fumes of the atomised fence paint he is using due to the fact that he is neither using a face mask or goggles (own glasses)and no dog in sight
or the latest "There Greeeat" Frosted cornflackes advert where the young actor (of School age) effortlessly steps onto somekind of platform sited in the middle of a road at street level and is lifted into the air whilst still telling, no sorry he was singing to his following audience (sheep) "dare gonna tayste grate" the audience watching this in the comfort of their own homes are
given the impression that this yound lad is flying as he is seemlessly raised into the air, flying indeed watched the "how they make it" on Discovery and saw how cornflakes are made and then sprayed with all kinds of e numbers, I am extremely worried that young chlidren or impressionable individuals may indeed have a euphoric trip after eating the mind mood and behaviour modifying snacks and may very well try to access this type of equipment or embark on a similar activity at height to impress mates / girlfriends, that "think advertsement" is brilliant
Sorry I digressed, Work at height regulations! Personal protective equipment - None, Harnessing? Supervision? None in place, Surely someone from the Health and Safety element of the "Equity Trade Union" could shed some light on how the production company's get away with promoting poor health and safety practice? (looked on Equity Web Site - No mention of Heatlh and Safety)
This type of advertisement is becoming all too main stream and our chidren are taking all this in without question.
My 12 year old thinks the latest add is great and was quite surprised to be informed that the main character was an actor and being paid to conduct himself in that fashion and that the sheep following him were actors also. He thought that eating this item would make him more popular and people would follow him singing the tune. Doh!
Our youth (certainly mine) need educating to how the world works, I believe the whole population is being brain washed into thinking that in the real world people do not get injured or killed from copying these antics.
Boy, I needed to get that off my chest!
Oh yes why not try contacting someone from Ofcom to get started
Search on google revealed
http://www.zyra.org.uk/tvco.htm
it lists T.V. production companies
Regards and best of luck
Patrick

I believe that the HSE has been asked previously to take part in a Life of Grime type programme but refused.

An earlier posting was removed as it contained an 'astrick' word. Now, whilst the intended word itself was not particularly offensive it is inappropriate to leave it on as we have previously indicated astrick words will be removed. It would be unfair on others who have had such removed.
If you cannot post an word in full then find another word.

I thought there had been some research which showed that kids are capable of distinguishing "fantasy" such as what happens in cartoons and the like, and real life. Hence they do not think that these actions are OK in real life because they don't make the connection between the fantasy and real life. I may be wrong!
(assuming here that you weren't being ironic.)
I'm afraid I can't see a H&S fly-on-wall working. I suspect it would either be a bit boring for most viewers' tastes, or the producers might be tempted to craftily put a bonkers-conkers-elfnsafety spin on it to make it more entertaining. I'm not sure I'd want to run the risk of it backfiring.
