Has anyone used Easi Dec or similar ? If so, please give me your views - good and bad. We are going down this route very shortly.

Hi Ali
we use this equipment on a regular basis to install window replacements, guttering renewals etc on housing revites. The equipment is very good provided it is managed correctly. I have some tips for you if you decide to use it.
1. make sure everyone is trained in its errection and use. The provider will probably give the demonstrations and training for you if there is a sale in it!
2. Make sure that is is only used for what it is intended. By this I mean that most accidents I have seen with this equipment have been due to persons attempting to use it beyond its capabilities i.e. above eaves work, chimney's etc. For that kind of work you should be using scaffolding.
3. make sure that all parts are checked before erection and after dismantling for damage. Always handle parts with care, do not allow persond to throw parts to ground when dismantling which I have seen in the past. Because they are light aluminium people think that throwing them is ok, its not! there are issues with this besides damage but you know this anyway.
4. One missing/damaged part and the whole thing is useless until you get a repalcement, this can take some time.
We have been using it for one year now and (touch wood) we have no reportables to date
hope this is useful.
