Hello all,
I am currently drawing up a risk assessment for a comedy hypnotist that will be visiting our student union bar in the next few weeks. I was wondering whether any clubs, entertainment venues or other universities have already completed risk assessments for these types of shows.
I would really appreciate any information, template risk assessments or advice on this matter.
Kindest Regards
Vimel

Hey Vimel,
One thought, all hypnotists are required to be given a 'Hypnotic performance Consent' ( Local Government (Misc Prov Regs 1982) Hypnotist Act 1952. One of these is required for each performance. Your local council will require the hypnotist to be a member of a recognised Organisation such as The British Academy of Hypnosis and certification will be required. The Hypnotism Licence will include a number of Conditions and a Code of Conduct. I have a copy of those conditions which can be used as the basis for your RA I can fax them if you think they may be useful.
