Can anyone recommend chemical for sanitisation of :
Water:
Potable water tanks and lines.
Non-potable water tanks and lines
HVAC chilled water lines and condensate sumps and drains
Shower heads
Air;
HVAC ducting
Air intake filters.
The chemicals we have in quarantine (Made by Houseman) don't appear to be on the market anymore and we are not allowed to use Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach)

Why not bleach? It is used (as Chlorine) in drinking water.
Bleach can be used safely like any other chemical if used properly and apropriate preaution taken.
There are few if any better biocides than Chlorine / Bleach.

The cleaning of such lines is not a straightforward proposition and the best advice here is to use the experts. Bleach per se cannot be used because the acid plays havoc with copper and brass. You will also need to arrange testing facilities for the potable lines so think carefully about the implications.
You will need to check your discharge consents as the flushing waters may contain substances outside of your current consents and be of excessive flow/volume. If this happens you will need to talk to the drainage utility company for a short term permit. All regular occcurrences for M&E contractors in this field.

Contact me directly and I'll put you on to someone who can do it for you. From memory, organic peroxide? is the stuff to use.

The client's risk assessment ruled out the use of bleach.
The consultants said they'd get back to us with recommendations for chemicals but haven't.
We're in the process of throwing out some chemicals used for hot and cold water as we don't have COSHH/CHIP complianyt MSDSs. I can't remember what they all are but they were made by Houseman who like they are no longer in business
