Posted By Andy Mc I am looking for appropriate resources to help me design a training/briefing session for Primary Care community based health care workers to undertake dynamic risk assessments. Staff are exposed to the dangers of violence and aggression in lone worker situations and often have no knowledge or history of the patient (or their families) prior to attending. Visits are made 24 hours a day. In some cases staff may be carrying medical drugs. Any examples of checklists, or delivery materials would be greatly appreciated. Regards Andy

We have a number of controls but training in dynamic risk assessment for our staff may be a big part of the battle for me and get it rolled out to staff. Posted By Allan Kerrigan Maybe there are some fire brigade members who read this. Dynamic Risk Assessments are bread and butter to Fire Fighters, so maybe a formula could be adapted from them?

Posted By Sheila EJ Keogh Our lone workers don't face the same risks as yours (our are not 24 hrs and don't carry drugs/medicines). However, if you email me I'd be happy to send you the lone worker RA that we currently use.
