Posted By Jason911 Apparently your Company drug and alcohol free workplace poliy should use the terminology 'Misuse' rather than 'Abuse' when describing using these. Can any one tell me why exactly?

Posted By Tabs Pressumably because of the implication of severity ... abuse suggests (grammatically) excessive or chronic, whilst missuse can suggest a mild or single wrong use. In terms of consequence, either could lead to problems, though abuse might lead to more occaisions for problems to occur.
