Posted By Chris Packham Selection and use of gloves for protection against chemical hazards is far from as simple as many assume. For example, manufacturers published permeation breakthrough times do not reflect what you will get in practice, so have only limited use.
The definitive guide to this is "Protective Gloves for Occupational Use" (CRC Press, ISBN 0-8493-1558-1). Chapter 18 (Practical Considerations When Selecting and Using Gloves" runs to 32 pages.)
