Posted By JEB I recently attended a seminar given by CDM “Expert” (eX = unknown quantity, Spert=drip under pressure) he informed the attendees (mainly Architects) that the new CDM regs would apply to Domestic Clients and if the construction work fell into the notifiable time period they (the domestic client) would have to appoint a PC and a Co-ordinator. As far as I can determine from the draft regs and ACOP domestic clients are still exempt. I would welcome your comments.

Posted By Advanced Safety Domestic clients will still remain outside the new regs regardless of time period. However, the because the new regulations will incorporate the content of the Construction (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations as schedules to the CDM regulations, i think some people will become confused as to whether these schedules will apply to non-notifiable projects, which of course they will, but could be confusing to some.
