Posted By Bob Youel Whilst I am known to be a 'giver of information etc' I must point out that time and again professionals are not being employed because people have been given 'freebee's' and undertaken work where they are not competent - [I am not indicatinging lack of competence re the recent posting! - just commenting] All profesionall audits, should be undertaken by a competent person; noting the level of competence required for the risk etc involved I know many employers who use their untrained employees to undertake many Env/H&S tasks They comment to me that all I want is business irrespective of the point I make e.g. use a professional where they should be used i.e. they do not use ordinary employees to provide a barrister service so why sould they use such people to provide other professional services
