We have just employed a 16 year old and have carried out the usual induction and young persons risk assessment etc. Do we have to send copies of the assessment findings to his parents?

I presume the J stands for John ( forgive me if not) you are technically right on this one however if the young person is in local authority care then this stance changes in respect of the implications of social care legislation and definitions within it. LA's maintain responsibility for Care Leavers until the age of 21

Nice to be on first name terms john, I acted as a keystake holder on cd106 when DFEE and HSE were producing guidance to the protection of young workeres regs, My only claim to fame getting my name in print on government stationary
