Posted By John Murphy Saturday evening in a south London town. Travelling on a bus. Irate guy gets on and tells the driver he has just been told to get off the previous bus as he is carrying a can of paint - is this right, can he do that he asks. Yes says the driver, he can. Obvious, question follows, "Why?". "Its elf an safety" is the reply. Hang on says irate guy, its emulsion paint. No, says the driver, still not allowed. lots of expletives from irate guy and he's off the bus!
London Transport policy, if that is what it is, is clearly in need of some review. No passengers is a good start, after all the risk of spontaneous combustion is about on a par with a can of emulision paint bursting into flames!

Posted By Bob Youel Friend who works in a similar organisation stated that its nothing to do whith H&S - its the spillages etc that the companies are concerned about - my friends service have changes some bus times so as drunks etc are not carried as the cost to the company to clean up is very high!
Its easy to blaim H&S as against manage
