Posted By Gawtum Jawaheer Do goods/persons Lifts used in construction of multi-storeyed buildings have to have the same stringent interlocking systems for both the cabin door and the doors at the various landing floors - or does it suffice that an operator in the cabin controls the use of the lift?? Grateful urgent response. Anticipated thanks Gawtum

Posted By peter gotch Hi Gawtum. Not sure what legal requirements apply in Mauritius. In the UK, require interlocks on both cage door(s) and at each landing gate. But these interlocks do not need to be to as high standards as would be required in a permanent lift within a structure, if this was the essence of your question. Regards, Peter Regards, Peter
