Posted By Julian Meer (at Work) I am reviewing our Modification Procedure and wish to include specific guidance on software mods for our Distributed Control Systems. Would any fellow COMAH sites or equivalent be willing to share any good / best practice? Many thanks if you can.

Posted By Ian Waldram Not an immediately helpful reference, but are you aware of the draft HSE/IEE guidance on safety-critical positions? Despite the slightly grand title, it's actually based on software-related issues. IOSH has commented on this draft, so it's worth checking what improvements members thought might be needed on this site, as well as the document which is on the HSE website.
