Posted By Elaine McDonald I have been asked to put together an asbestos management plan following the completion of an asbestos survey of our residential developments. Can anyone help on where to start or have any suggestions on suitable websites. Thanks.

Posted By richie_steve From your asbestos survey you've got to decide on the likelihood of people being exposed to asbestos fibres. Your survey would probably have made recommendations. Is there any asbestos already damaged? Is there asbestos in areas which could be disturbed by people going about their normal duties? Is there asbestos which could be disturbed by contractors? From your survey and thinking about the questions above you've got to decide what you're going to do about the asbestos - that's the plan. Is there any you need to have removed? Is there any that needs to be left in place and sealed? Is there any that you don't need to do anything to? Think about labelling the asbestos that's left in place and having it inspected at certain intervals to ensure it's not been damaged? Think about having plans to show where asbestos is and think about contractors working on the premises - how are you going to let them know where it is?
