Fire extinguishers on the first floor of an office building are located on the stair landing, outside the floor double fire doors which lead into the offices.
Are these correctly positioned or should they be located inside the office for use by persons exiting the offices, so avoiding having to go outside the office for the extinguishers and then return to fight the fire.
Your opinions would be appreciated

Without seeing the location - probably OK provided that the extinguishers cover all fire risks, are within 30m distance of all points on the storey and not vulnerable to interference. It's quite usual to have the extinguishers at fire points by each storey exit from an office building and near the manual call-point and fire instructions notices. Particular items of higher fire risk (eg electrical intakes) may, however, require an additional extinguisher adjacent. All this, of course, subject to the fire risk assessment for the premises - taking into account the published guidance.
