Posted By Charley Farley-Trelawney I will have a reasonable quantity of Halon to move in a few weeks time; total amount is around 1800 litres in sepearte sealed tanks. This is going to be fairly pricey; my question is I understand the Military on occasions will take stocks, I have no information regarding this, and would be grateful if a specialist in this area could offer any advice to me on keeping the finacial side of the disposal to a minumum. Many thanks CFT

Posted By Ashley Wood contact HUNC. They will arrange the sale and/or disposal of your halon 1301 and 1211. I am intrigued that you still have halon as this was outlawed some time ago now! You may want to try airlines as they are still allowed to use it I believe. I know that most airlines put their old halon stocks into storage when they took it out of the data centres, this may be running down now. Give John O'sulivan a call at BA in Heathrow he may be able to advise you as well.

Posted By Charley Farley-Trelawney Many thanks. To clear up your question as a development company we have purchased a sustantial site that has been empty for a few years. The Halon was installed to fight server room fires via an automated system. I am just surveying at present to see what else needs to go. Thanks CFT
