Posted By jack rumbol Dear all I work for a company who has a small store with racking to hold items. I have a few questions i would like to ask. 1) Do they need to be inspected by a competent person and if so at what frequency? 2) Do these racking require a Safe Working Load Sticker to be put on them. If so where can i get hold of these or will homemade ones suffice? It may be important to note these racks are not on an industrial warehouse size they are about 2 metres high. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Regards, Jack Rumbol

Posted By jeffrey david smith There was a similar thread not so long back. Try trawling back about six pages and looking. In answer to your question about checking - yes. As to the others, no idea, not my field I'm afraid. Regards Jeff

Posted By corsa01 Question 1, yes and question 2 yes, home made signs are of no use ie how do you know the safe working load a) when its a new installation and more importantly b) after damage - which always happens. Contact www.sess.co.uk for a wholly independant viewpoint. Michael
