Can anybody recommend a good reliable lone working alarm system.
I'm looking for something that's automatic (i.e. requires no human responsibility or relies on a human action) for it to work.
the person will be working in an area out of site of the remaining workforce, up to 100m away, but still within the same building.
any links or better still a recommendation of a system actually in use would be great.
May even consider visiting to see it in action
Products Reliability most important factor.

I do not know of any system that does not require some form of human act or intervention. A mobile phone is the obvious technical instrument, but these are subject to someone operating it and are not necessarily a 'fail safe' system. Would be glad to hear if there is one.

John,
Ray is correct, there are plenty of systems where if no movement is detected for 5, 10, 15 mins, then an alarm is automatically activated. If you go for a system like this, then you need to train the user well or pick intelligent people!! I had an instance where this system was used and the chap used to clip it to his Hi Viz coat, walk to the remote area of work, then take his coat off and hang it on a peg, It took him ages to understand why people used to rush to him carrying first aid etc.
We ended up using a mobile phone to call him to confirm he hasnt just taken his coat off!!
