Posted By jackw. Hi, just thinking back over the requests for guidance and information. My "best" was an tel call from our occupational therapist manager. apparently an OT had been on some course and called her very concerned as she had allegedly been told/heard that the government are about to introduce new legislation to wit if a worker has an injury whilst moving and handling, the new agency will check and if they deem it was the workers own fault--not using proper techniques etc. they would not get paid whilst off work..nope it wasn't 1st april..scarry thing is this "MANAGER" was actually serious - believed this was about to happen!!!! yes I know worrying for us!!!!!!!!
cheers have a nice Xmas

Posted By Lilian McCartney I changed jobs a while ago from a LA to two voluntary organisations (provding support in the community).
My favourite bit (and it still catches me off guard) is when I'm assisting in revising a policy/prcoedure and the managers, employees, trade union reps say 'this is just what we've been waiting for, thanks'
Job done really
(thye're also good at implementing any new procedures though they have most of them and its been recording/tweaking them that's been required)
