I have managed to get our local newspaper to print an article on sensible risk management relating to one of our schools. I was approached by pupils at the special needs school who were asking about the possible health and safety concerns relating to proposed hanging baskets for the main entrance. Fearing a conkers bonkers situation we worked together and undertook a simple risk assessment. The result being that the school got their hanging baskets and I got some sensible H&S sound bites in the local press. Would IOSH like a copy as part of our 'fighting back for H&S campaign'?

All I would add for this is "Well done" if you have found a sensible solution instead of having the argument - " It's Health and safety, can't do that !"
