Hi everyone.
I'm very new to this forum and health and safety so please be gentle.
I have been reading through the forum and have been quite impressed with some of the advice offered and would hopefully benefit from some of this myself.
The question i have is this:
I am looking to purchase some interior convex mirrors for our cold store to improve FLT drivers vision around corners and door ways.
Now as these are for a cold store area (-18.c)do i need to be looking for a specialist mirror?
I don't want to pay £80 upwards for a mirror that would turn brittle and break after a short period.
Many thanks for your help in advance.

Dean, Welcome to the forum. A quick check of the www. led me to many mirror manufacturers and suppliers. In the temperatures you describe 'normal' mirrors may not be suitable, as you have already pointed out. I found mirrors of many materials, in particular highly polished stainless steel which may be suitable.
Whichever supplier you choose make sure that you tell them of the conditions that the mirror will be subject to. In instances like this I always talk to the supplier and get them to suggest a suitable item. On the order form repeat this info i.e. " 1 x mirror etc....suitable for temperatures of -20°C, as discussed with (insert name here)". I have found that this has given me some come back when the item has not performed as expected.
Good luck and continue with the forum.
