Dear All,

Please can anyone provide for me the safety consideration that would be applied in air blowing processes that are in conjunction with hook up and commissioning campaign.

Thanks,

You need to make sure that pressure can't accidentally build up in the system being blown. Also it's likely that dust and particles will be blown out of the exit, so persons should be prevented from approaching that.

You seem to be asking a series of questions about standard offshore pre-commissioning activities. The letters after your name indicate some training in accident investigation, but familiarity with these typical hazards (plus many more) and good practice controls is even more essential. Isn't there a colleague available with previous experiece of the H&S advisory role for HUC activities? If not, I suggest you should think about that approach, rather than relying on responses from this forum.

Thanks Ian for your contribution. I own you a glass of wine. My letter of AMIIAI is a demonstration that I am an associate member of the Institute of Industrial Accident Investigators with the view of taking some of the institution's courses and trainings as regards accident prevention at work. Sounds good. Anyway, I appreciate your efforts. I think I have missed my question.

The question is: describe TWO of the air blowing processes that are in conjunction with HUC [Hook Up Commissioning] campaign and the safety consideration that would be applied to each of them.

I appreciate further help on these question. Ian the glass of wine is on my table.

Thanks.
