Posted By Ian Waldram There is minimal hazard, providing the work is done by a competent electrical or instrument technician. Basically they are applying a low voltage to check that the circuits have been correctly wired up. Of course, if the HUC is on an operating installation, there should be standard controls on use of portable electical equipment in Hazardous Areas.
