I work for a company that receives a lot of goods/packages, this generates a considerable amount of waste, in particular plastics (we already recycle the cardboard that is generated). I read the Producer Responsibilty Obligations (Packagaing Waste) Regulations 2005 and we're not one of the targetted businesses that are mentioned. Are there any Regulations etc. that apply to the removal/reuse/disposal of this waste, in our particular situation?

Any information gratefully received, thank you!

Helen,

As long as you're not part of the packaging chain, eg you don't make packaging or packaging materials, fill packaging, or sell packaged products you won't be affected by these regulations. However, you do still have a duty of care to make sure your waste is disposed of responsibly. Have a look here.
