As a company we service and repair large volumes of cars and light commercials mainly owned by the manufacturers and on their demonstration and press fleets.

We have been asked to fit dual controls for one of the manufacturers as yet we do not have full details and are assuming that the vehicles will go onto their demonstration fleet.

Is anyone aware of any legislation or accreditation applicable to the fitting of dual controls.

The suppliers of duals will advise you.
Porter, He-man and AID are names off top of my head. They will say if they supply to fit the vehicle, which if you can't get, will really say "no" to trying.
Obviously they have to be installed so as not to prevent safe operation of vehicle, a general principle under Construction & Use Regs, but no specific "dual controls" legislation.
