Hi All,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a small training presentation for the correct use of ear plugs?

All answers welcomed.

Having checked the poster, whilst it does mention "clean hands" I do not feel that this is sufficiently stressed.

I always have a concern about the foam type ear plug. How does one ensure that the person inserting these into his/her ears has washed their hands properly prior to this. How often have I seen earplugs that, when compressed between the fingers, resemble a piece of oily waste. Just consider the potential effects on the sensitive skin within the ears. Suppose that this person did not wash their hands after visiting the washroom!

Of course, the same goes for any PPE that relies upon contact between individual and the skin.

If you contact the company that you purchase your ear plugs from, some will come to site and do Training / Toolbox Talks to your employees. We have done this and it was FREE OF CHARGE. If they can do that I am sure they can help with Training Aids.
