Hello, does anybody know how i become an approved plumber, so i can begin contracting work. Are there any specific institutions that offer such status or a certificate. And what neccassary qualifications and insurances might i need? Many thanks

Plumbers usually qualify through an apprenticeship Austin.
If they then wish to work on gas installations they also have to register with CORGI.

You can also register with OFTEC so that you are qualified to work on oil fired systems. Changes that if memory serves me right, April 2007 for condensing boilers. demonstrating you are up to speed with changes to your industry will be a plus point.
A Certificate in Energy Efficiency in domestic situations is something you will be asked for.
Have included some links for you. Good Luck.
