My HR manager has requested I look in to a form of Employee Wellbeing programme. This is due to higher than average number of sicknesses due to mainly back pain and musculoskeletal issues

I am stumped as to what to inlcude in this:
Initial thoughts are : Quit Smoking, Healthy Eating,Chair massage ( sitting in chair and getting massage, not massaging the chair,), Postural assessment while employee works,Stress Management workshop,Does anyone have any more ideas, also an implementation plan?
Any ideas gratefully received.

In order to comment it would be helpful to know what environment you are working in. This could have implications for the types of programme you might wish to include.

Do you have at least £1 billion to spare?

If you don't, beware being 'gifted' an elephant trap!

How does your esteemed HR colleague advise you to measure the return on investing in 'wellbeing'? How has he/she defined 'wellbeing' and reliable, valid measures of it?

When you get clear answers, why not agree that well-designed programmes of ergonomic and behaviour modification would achieve useful, measurable objectives?
