Posted By kevin pawadyira Hi Guys, Like most modern practitioners I am against generic lists, but I need to stick my neck out and ask if anyone has a generic list of the top 5-10 risks to look out for on a typical MOD site as a planning supervisor for residential and commercial end users? Regards Kevin

Posted By Bill Parkinson Kevin You will need to find out its previous use. If used as munitions site then there are a lot of potential contamination issues. I seem to recall when I was a PS for such a site that there was some good guidance within the Environment Agency website which gave indicative contaminants as a starting point. Also bear in mind you will have to undertake suitable testing (in accordance with planning guidance) to determine the concentration of contaminants and then draft a decontamination action plan of either on site decontamination or disposal off site and which is the best environmental option. Good Luck !!
