Posted By Andy Peters Hello Ive just got off the phone from I friend of mine who is about to embark on a fund raising event, in the aid of Comic Relief (16.03.07), at his workplace (a large kitchen and bathroom dealer). He wants to lay in a bath of beans for 24hrs. Unfortunately he does not have access to the internet due to the area he lives therefore asked me to pose some Health and Safety questions on his behalf. 1. Does he need to take 15min break every 2hrs? 2. Do the beans need to be, and kept at, a certain temperature for the duration? 3. Will rubber mats need to be provided upon exiting the bath to eliminate slip hazards? If you could think of any other Health and Safety issues surrounding the event I will gladly pass these on and I’m sure he will appreciate them. Regards Andy

Posted By TBC Some things may depend on the viscosity of the beans sauce. i.e. cheap = very thin sauce. More expensive thicker and flavoured sauce. What about curry flavour - now that will make his bits tingle. Could be an allergic reaction there. Seems like a lot of money and food going to waste here.

Posted By peter gotch 1 Andy, Assuming your posting was not a Red Nose Windup, suggest you need some medical opinion, taking into account some understanding of your mate. Doubt many readers of this forum competent to advise. Regards, Peter

Posted By Dan dan the bean trick has been done many times before, without any adverse effect, as long as he isnt allergic to tomatoes and there is someone with him to prevent submersing his head - im sure he will have a good fun fund raising event
