Posted By Homer has anyone produced a lone working policy for a construction company. We don't encourage lone working and would pick this up in risk assessment but have been asked if we have an actual policy. Would appreciate a look at an example to see if I can tailor it to suit our needs. Many thanks in advance

Posted By bob safe Hi Homer So long as it's not going to be interpreted by Monty Burns I think I may be able to help, my email should be showing so if you'd like to drop me a line i'll email it on. I have to say that it is more of a written procedure as opposed to a policy but you may find it helpful. Regards Bob

Posted By Edward Shyer Homer, As you say you don't encourage lone working why go into details for lone working procedures/policy when a simple statement will suffice. Example: It is (company name) policy that lone working is not permitted on any of our premises. It is the responsibility of....... to ensure that this policy is adhered with. Regards Ted
