hi everybody, i`m a new member so please be gentle! I just passed my nebosh general cert.
and i am wondering about the way forward? i am considering doing the Msc in safety and risk management at strathclyde uni. it is recognised by iosh as a good qualification (supposedly) i have an andvanced diploma in environmental management and an an associate membership of iema . I have been given funding to do the masters over 3 years and the way i am looking at it is ..why do the nebosh diploma?when i have the opportunity to do the Msc which is a higher qualification and should be a bonus to future employers. if you think i am thinking along the right lines and/or know of the strathclyde uni. msc course please let me know! any help would be very welcome thanks again.

Hi Adam, there was quite a long thread on this subject some months ago. You may get some guidance here.

My advice would be to determine why you want to study - for the intellectual challenge, for personal achievement, for career prospects, to remain a student etc etc. Once you are clear as to your reasons then the way forward may also become clearer.
Good luck in your chosen route.

Hi Adam
I was in a similar position to you a few years ago and decided to opt for the MSc instead of the NEBOSH Diploma 2. I funded the course personally and completed it in my own time. No regrets. Aim high.
Good luck.
