Posted By Mitch Are there any guidelines, other than Part 2, section 14 of the Reg' Reform Order, for the number and positioning of emergency exits in large industrial units? It seems OK from the RA but I cannot find any specific requirements specified any where. Thanks for any help you can give, Mitch

Posted By Mark Eden Mitch have you looked in the Building Regs part b - this gives you the maximum travel distances, direction of door openings etc. Hope this is some use

Posted By Chas Try looking at the Building Regs Approved Document B. You can download it from the website of the ODPM. It will give you appropriate travel distances and the means to determine the appropriate number and size of fire escape exits. Hope this helps.
